Betting Rules
A short guide to the rules for sports and cybersport bets at Slotonauts: how bets are accepted, settled and voided. It summarises the full Betting Rules in plain words.
General Rules
These rules apply to every bet in the Sport and Cybersport sections and form part of the general Terms and Conditions. By placing a bet, you confirm that you have read and accepted them. Only players aged 18 and over can bet. People taking part in an event, or directly connected to it, may not bet on that event.
If rules overlap, they apply in this order: the terms of a specific offer or promotion first, then the rules for the sport, then these general rules. The rules may be updated, and a new version applies from the moment it is published on the site. The English version prevails over any translation.
Placing and Accepting Bets
- A bet is valid only once you receive a unique bet receipt. If you are not sure a bet went through, check your account history or contact support.
- Except for live events, bets must be placed before the official start of the event.
- We may refuse all or part of any bet.
- Once accepted, a bet cannot be changed or cancelled, unless it was accepted in error. Most markets offer Cash Out instead.
- Scores, start times and statistics on the site come from third parties and are for information only. Official sources prevail.
Bet Types
You can place singles, multiples (accumulators) and system bets. In a multiple, every selection must win, and the odds are multiplied together. If one selection in a multiple is void, it is settled at odds of 1.00 and the rest of the bet stands. Selections whose outcomes depend on each other cannot be combined in one multiple.
A Bet Builder combines two or more selections from the same event. Each one must win, and if one part is void, the whole Bet Builder is void.
Void Bets and Obvious Errors
A void bet is cancelled, and the stake is returned. A bet may be made void, before or after settlement, in cases such as these:
- the event is postponed, abandoned or does not take place as listed;
- the bet was accepted after betting closed, or when the outcome was already known;
- the odds were obviously wrong because of a technical or human error, judged against the odds of major sportsbooks;
- the bet was placed at old odds after an event such as a goal, or during an outage;
- there is evidence of fraud, match-fixing, collusion between players, bonus abuse, betting bots or arbitrage betting;
- the account was used by someone other than its holder.
Results and Settlement
Bets are settled on the official result from the governing body. If official data is not available or is clearly wrong, other independent sources are used, and payment may wait until the check is finished. A later change to the result by the governing body does not affect bets that were already settled.
If an event is postponed or abandoned, bets stand only if it is completed by midnight local time on the day after the scheduled date. Markets already decided when play stopped are settled as normal. In a dead heat, half of the stake goes on the winning selection and the other half is lost; with more ties, the stake is split in proportion.
Live Betting and Odds Settings
In live betting, the market may be suspended if the broadcast is lost, if there is a technical issue or if fraud is suspected. Bets at a wrong price caused by delayed coverage may be voided. Deliberate late betting is treated as fraud and leads to the confiscation of winnings.
In Odds Settings, you can choose to accept odds changes. With this option on, your live bet is accepted even if the odds move at the moment you place it, and the recorded odds may be higher or lower than those you saw. The setting stays on until you change it.
Cash Out
Cash Out lets you settle a bet early, in full or in part, before the event ends. Accepting a Cash Out offer counts as a bet of its own. Cash Out is not guaranteed and may be switched off at any time, and a Cash Out paid in error may be reversed.
Rules by Sport
- Football: bets are settled on the result after 90 minutes, including injury time but not extra time or penalties, unless the market says otherwise.
- Tennis: a match starts with the first serve. If it is abandoned, including through retirement, bets are void unless the market was already decided.
- Basketball and American football: overtime counts, except in 3-way markets for basketball, which are settled at the end of regulation time.
- Ice hockey: overtime and shoot-outs count unless the market states otherwise. 60-minute markets exclude them.
- Cricket: the official result decides. A match with no result, or one cancelled and not replayed within 48 hours, is void.
Cybersport Rules
The same principles apply to Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike 2:
- bets are settled on the official result from the tournament organiser;
- a match not played by midnight local time on the day after the scheduled date is void;
- if a match starts earlier than planned, only bets placed before the actual start stand;
- if the number of maps changes, match bets are void, and a walkover on a map before the start voids all bets;
- if a map is replayed because of a disconnection, pre-match bets stand on the replay, while live bets on that map are void unless already decided;
- a match won by surrender counts as complete;
- a team changing its name does not affect bets.
Violations and Bonus Turnover
Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited. We may investigate suspicious activity for up to 75 days, and the account may have limited functions while the check is running. Bets placed to get around maximum bet or payout limits, including repeated bets on the same combination, are not allowed.
Bets at odds below 1.55 and cashed-out bets do not count towards the deposit turnover requirement. For the general rules of the site, see the Terms and Conditions.
